'We’re bringing shipbuilding back': Trump announces massive Maryland shipyard in US naval expansion
President Donald Trump has announced a $6.6 billion public-private investment to build a massive new U.S. shipyard in Maryland, described as the largest new American shipyard since World War II. Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth presented the project as a major investment in America’s shipbuilding and defense-industrial base.
