'Call scheduled very soon': Trump set to speak with Putin as US tracks Russia plague death reports
US President Donald Trump says he will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin 'very soon' as Moscow investigates the death of a woman who worked at a plague research institute in Siberia. The woman, who worked at the Irkutsk Research Institute for Combating Plague, died after suffering from pneumonia of unknown cause, prompting health authorities to investigate whether the case could be linked to pneumonic plague. Trump said US intelligence was in 'deep consideration' of the matter and indicated that Washington could provide more information soon. The World Health Organization, meanwhile, said the risk outside Russia remains very low.
