ReutersUS President Donald Trump said on Friday that he expects the war with Iran to end soon, but offered no details on how the conflict would be brought to a close.
"It's going to get wrapped up soon," Trump said in an interview with Kansas City radio station KCMO.
Trump said Washington would require assurances that Tehran would never develop a nuclear weapon as part of any resolution to the conflict.
"We need a guarantee there'll never be a nuclear weapon."
His remarks come ahead of the November 3 midterm congressional elections in the United States. Trump has said the US would not strike Iran before the elections.
