Vaishnaw announces ₹10k cr for SME Growth Fund, approves Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority
The Union Cabinet has cleared two measures aimed at strengthening India’s growth and competitiveness. The government has committed ₹10,000 crore to the SME Growth Fund, providing long-term equity capital to high-potential SMEs, with more than half expected to focus on manufacturing. The fund will support capacity expansion, technology adoption and global market access. The Cabinet has also approved the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA) to coordinate transport and logistics planning across roads, railways, ports, aviation, waterways and urban mobility. ITLA will also monitor infrastructure projects worth ₹500 crore or more.
