CPI jumps to 5.5% in November, October IIP at -3.8%

India's retail inflation (CPI) jumped to 5.5 per cent for November while India's industrial production (IIP) data for October 2019 stands at (-)3.8 per cent as announced today, December 12, 2019. Retail inflation spiked to a 16-month high of 4.62 per cent in October from 3.99 per cent in the month of September, breaching Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) medium-term target for the first time in 15 months. Food inflation for the month of October rose to 7.8% from 5.1% in September.
