    8th Pay Commission latest update: 8th CPC invites stakeholders for New Delhi, Pune meetings on these dates; to hire consultants

    In a letter dated April 11, 2026, Anand Kumar Jha, director, 8th CPC, wrote that the commission shall be visiting Pune, Maharashtra, on May 4 and 5, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday).
    The 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) will hold meetings with interested unions and associations and central government organisations and institutions in New Delhi and Pune this month and next. The Commission also says it will hold separate meetings in Mumbai and other states later on.


    To get an appointment with the 8th Pay Commission for these meetings, an association needs to have submitted a memorandum of suggestions related to the 8th Pay Commission.

    While the 8th CPC is reaching out to stakeholders for meetings, the commission has also posted as many as 20 vacancies for consultants, offering a monthly salary of up to Rs 1.80 lakh for a full-time role. There are also options for part-time roles (6 days a month and 12 days a month).

    8th Pay Commission New Delhi meeting dates

    In a letter dated April 1, 2026, 8th Pay Commission deputy secretary Abhay N Sahay said that the 8th CPC shall schedule interactions in New Delhi on April 28, 29 and 30, 2026 (Tuesday–Thursday).

    The 8th CPC letter reads: “Interested unions/associations desirous of interacting with the Commission in New Delhi may kindly submit a memorandum on the commission’s website (8cpc.gov.in) and thereafter, submit their request seeking an appointment at abhay.sahay@nic.in on or before April 20, 2026, along with a ‘unique memo ID’ generated after submitting the memorandum. Venue details and meeting schedule shall be intimated subsequently.”

    Sahay wrote that the commission shall be holding more meetings in New Delhi and various other states in due course.

    8th Pay Commission Pune meeting dates

Venue details and meeting schedule shall be intimated subsequently.”

    The letter laid out that the Commission shall also be holding separate meetings in Mumbai and in various other states in due course.

    8th CPC memorandum submission last date

    The 8th Pay Commission has asked many employee associations and unions to submit a memorandum of suggestions related to the 8th Pay Commission. The last date to submit this memorandum is April 30, 2026.

    8th Pay Commission recruits for consultant posts

    The 8th Pay Commission has published an OM, inviting applications for the post of consultants. Manish Kumar, director, 8th Pay Commission, in an OM dated April 10, 2026, wrote that applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as consultants with the commission on a contractual basis.

    How can candidates apply for 8th CPC consultant posts

    As per the letter, “Applicants desirous of being appointed as consultants on a contract basis with the commission may forward their application in the duly filled proforma only through the following link [https: / /nicforms]nic.in/ennfrVmiUSlkMzczNmI2YTNlOTIwMjYwNDA2NT] expressing their interest. The link is also available on the website of the commission. No physical copy/email/hard copy shall be considered for this purpose.”
