    Budget: Ayush ministry allocated Rs 3,992.90 crore

    The budget allocation for the Ministry of Ayush has been increased by 14.15 per cent to Rs 3,992.90 crore for 2025-26. Funds have been designated for various autonomous bodies, including the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences and the All India Institute of Ayurveda, to support research and conservation efforts.

    Ayush gets big boost in Northeast India

    A dedicated Panchakarma block, the first in the Northeast region, was inaugurated and dedicated to the nation by Sarbananda Sonowal at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) on Friday. A state-of-the-art Pharmacology & Biochemistry lab for Ayush, a first in the region, was also inaugurated & dedicated to nation by the Ayush Minister.

    North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy sees major expansion with six new buildings

    The Union Minister of Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated Six new buildings as part of the Project II of North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH) to expand capacity. The cost of the construction of these new buildings is estimated at more than ₹60 crores.

    While addressing the media, Sonowal also gave details of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) in Goa's Panjim, which will showcase the scientificity, efficacy, and the strength of Ayush System of Medicines at Global level. The establishment of these institutes is in line with the prime minister's vision of expansion of infrastructure and human resources, and promotion of research in the traditional medical systems, he said.
