20 TMC MPs merging with NCP’: Kakoli Ghosh claims split, backs NDA under PM leadership
Twenty rebel Trinamool Congress MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi and sought separate seating arrangements in the House. Rebel MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said the group, which claims to represent more than two-thirds of TMC’s Lok Sabha strength, has decided to merge with the Nationalist Citizens Party and support the NDA. The Speaker is yet to decide on the request, while TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee has urged him not to recognise any separate faction of the party.
