The latest installment in the Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is all scheduled to launch this year in November. There is a huge excitement around GTA 6 despite popular open-world game seeing multiple delays since the first launch announcement. Rockstar has also announced many key details about the game like the map, characters and more.

GTA 6 launch price

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick may have suggested that Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) could be priced between $70 and $80, according to a report in Times of India. Zelnick expressed skepticism about introducing interstitial ads in premium games, saying, “Very difficult for me to believe that we would want to have interstitial advertising in a game that someone paid 70 or 80 bucks for would seem unfair,” Zelnick said. He made these comments in response to a question about the possibility of in-game advertising in GTA 6. Although he stopped short of confirming the game’s official price, his mention of “70 or 80 bucks” has been widely viewed as an indication of its expected price range.

He further clarified that advertising approaches vary by game type, noting, “For free-to-play titles, yes. For titles for which you've paid 70 or 80 bucks, no.” Zelnick also pointed out that while ads can naturally fit into sports games like WWE or NBA 2K, they remain “not a big economic contributor.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 is all set to launch globally on 19 November, 2026. Grand Theft Auto VI takes players back to the iconic, fictional Vice City, inspired by Miami. The game is set within the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.

Several major locations have been revealed so far:

Vice City: Modeled after Miami, this is the crown jewel of the map, featuring areas such as Little Cuba, Ocean Beach, and an international airport.

Leonida Keys: Inspired by the Florida Keys, this coastal region is filled with islands, boats, and a history tied to classic smuggling operations.

Grassrivers: Based on the Everglades, this gritty and culturally rich area is known for shaping local rap talent.

Port Gellhorn: Described as a hotspot for criminals seeking high-risk, high-reward opportunities.

Ambrosia: A scenic and relaxed locale, known for its sunsets, laid-back vibe, and hidden underworld activity.

Mount Kalaga: A mountainous region that introduces vertical terrain and wilderness into the Leonida landscape.

GTA 6 characters

Alongside Jason and Lucia, several supporting characters are expected to play important roles:

Boobie Ike: A Vice City legend who built a legitimate empire across real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio, while investing heavily in his music label, Only Raw Records.

Dre’Quan Priest: The driving force behind Only Raw Records, aiming to expand his influence into the core of Vice City’s music scene.

Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy): Two childhood friends who turned their early hustling into a rap career after a viral hit, now signed to Dre’Quan’s label.

Raul Bautista: A daring and reckless bank robber always on the lookout for skilled partners for major heists.

Brian Heder: A veteran drug runner from the Leonida Keys who rents space to Jason in exchange for helping with local operations.

GTA 6 storyline

The game follows a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style narrative centered around two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, as they navigate the criminal underworld together.

Jason Duval is an ex-Army soldier who grew up around criminals and struggled to stay on the right path after his service. He eventually ends up in the Keys working with drug runners. Seeking a way out of his stagnant life, he meets Lucia, and he himself admits that meeting her “could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him.”

Lucia Caminos, on the other hand, was trained in combat by her father from a young age. Her difficult life led her to a stint in Leonida Penitentiary after attempting to protect her family. Recently released “by sheer luck,” she is now focused on building a better future and achieving the life her mother always dreamed of since their time in Liberty City. Fresh out of prison, Lucia sees her partnership with Jason as a key opportunity to rise to the top.
