Reopening Strait of Hormuz won't end global turbulence': UK Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper
Reopening the Strait of Hormuz will not be enough to end global economic instability, British foreign minister Yvette Cooper said on Thursday (April 9) in a speech setting out her view that "turbulence is the new normal". "Instability and volatility are becoming increasingly chronic. Turbulence is the new normal," Cooper said. "The new reality we face did not begin with the war in Iran, nor will it end with a reopened Strait."
