APTrump gave his final speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool ahead of US midterm polls
The midterm elections are here, and the poll campaign came to an end with the final remarks from President Donald Trump. In his final address before Tuesday’s elections, he said that these elections may not go well for him or his party.
While speaking at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, Trump said, “For some reason, the sitting president doesn’t win the midterms, but we gave this a very strong shot.” “We have a lot of great things planned for Washington, and I could get into (more about) the nation, but for that you don’t have enough time.”
The speech at the National Mall marked Trump’s final scheduled public speech before Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court rejected the request from the Trump administration seeking to put aside thousands of disputed California mail ballots. Trump had separately raised the prospect of voter fraud in Alaska.
Trump’s speech was dominated by remarks on the Reflecting Pool renovation. He spoke in detail about the challenge of removing algae and installing new grass, among other things. Meanwhile, issues linked to the national economy and inflation found less space in comparison.
“Our country is doing great. I think it’s the greatest we’ve ever done,” Trump declared. “We had a great first term in terms of the economy. We had the best term ever. We had the most successful economy,” he said at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The Republican president was also scheduled to participate in nine telerallies for Republican midterm candidates, and he appeared on Fox News, AP reported.

According to the news agency, as of Monday, the day before the General Election, there were more than 57 million ballots already cast in 47 states and D.C. This was over 10 million more than the elections in 2022, which saw a vote of less than 44.5 million cast in 49 states and D.C.
