    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred Uzbekistan’s highest state honour, the ‘Oliy Darajali Do’stlik’ (Order of Friendship), taking the number of international honours bestowed upon him to 35, according to a post on platform X by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

    The honour was presented to Modi during his visit to Uzbekistan and recognises his contribution to strengthening ties between India and Uzbekistan.

    The BJP, in its post, said the honours conferred on Modi by countries across continents reflect the “growing global stature of India” and the deepening partnerships forged under his leadership.

    • Ethiopia – Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia
