Who is Offset? Rapper Cardi B's ex-husband shot near a casino in Florida - Here's what we know so far

Offset, the former husband of Cardi B, was reportedly shot in Florida on Monday, according to multiple media outlets. According to TMZ, the incident occurred at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida. The Migos rapper, born as Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening. Offset's Migos' bandmate Takeoff was killed in a shooting back in November 2022.

Sources indicate that Offset is currently in stable condition, and further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting have yet to be confirmed.

"We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood," A representative of Seminole County Police confirmed the development, as quoted by TMZ.

"Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal."

Offset, a native of the Atlanta area, shares three children with rapper Cardi B and rose to prominence as a member of the hip-hop trio Migos. Offset also has three additional children from previous relationships.

Meanwhile, Cardi B filed for divorce from him in August 2024 after seven years of marriage. Reports suggest that she is seeking primary custody of their children.
