‘Rise of India will be determined by India,’ Jaishankar after US ‘China mistake’ remark
At the Raisina Dialogue, S. Jaishankar said “the rise of India will be determined by India by our strength, not by the mistakes of others,” as strategic and economic discussions between New Delhi and Washington intensify. The remark followed comments by Christopher Landau, who said the United States will not repeat the “China mistake” in its economic engagement with India and stressed that any bilateral trade deal must remain reciprocal and fair.
