Chilling Delhi crime: Man beaten for stopping harassment, raising women’s safety fears
A 26-year-old businessman was brutally assaulted in south Delhi’s Mehrauli after intervening to stop the harassment of three women. Mukesh Kumar confronted youths making lewd remarks at a tea stall on IGNOU Road, triggering a violent attack. The assailants allegedly beat him with stones and kicks, continuing even after he lost consciousness. A viral video captured the assault as bystanders tried to intervene. Police arrested four accused and shifted Mukesh from a local hospital to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
