Domestic stock markets ended in the red on Thursday, dragged by IT, auto and financial stocks. The benchmark indices, Nifty and the BSE Sensex, ended with cuts for the second session in a row. Shares of Union Bank of India ended 7.4% lower at Rs 179.71 on the NSE following the PSU lender’s mixed Q4 earnings on Thursday. Its net profit rose 6.6% YoY to Rs 5,316 crore, while net interest income (NII) declined 1.1% YoY to Rs 9,406 crore compared to Rs 9,514 crore a year ago. Provisions increased sharply to Rs 1,055 crore from Rs 322 crore in the December quarter.

Shares of Bharat Coking Coal ended 5% lower at Rs 34.01 on the NSE after the Coal India arm reported a 59% decline in net profit to Rs 27.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, on the back of lower revenue.

Shares of Havells India ended 6.6% lower at Rs 1,260.30 on the NSE after the company reported revenue of Rs 6,688 crore in the fourth quarter, a marginal 2.4% increase YoY. However, the company’s net profit rose to Rs 734 crore, marking a jump of 41% from Rs 522 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Shares of IT major Tech Mahindra settled 2.8% lower at Rs 1,421.50 after Goldman Sachs reiterated a ‘Sell’ rating on the stock, while revising its target price upward to Rs 1,410 from Rs 1,340, implying a downside of 4% from current levels. The company reported a 16% YoY rise in net profit to Rs 1,354 crore, while revenue from operations increased 13% YoY to Rs 15,076 crore during the quarter.

Shares of Fractal Analytics settled 6% higher at Rs 960.75 on the NSE today, recording their third successive gain. The stock rallied 9% to hit its 52-week high of Rs 984.85. It crossed its IPO price on Wednesday for the first time since its listing in February.

Shares of Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) closed 8% higher at Rs 8,791.50 today after the company reported a net profit of Rs 842 crore, marking a jump of 31% from Rs 644 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s revenue from operations came in at Rs 2,065 crore, up 20% YoY.
