Vivek Sinha, who portrayed the character Zahoor Mistry in Dhurandhar directed by Aditya Dhar, recently spoke out to dismiss widespread claims regarding his remuneration. Reports circulating online had suggested that he earned an enormous sum, allegedly touching Rs 1 crore for his role. However, the actor firmly clarified that while he was paid fairly, the figures being discussed on social media were highly exaggerated and far from reality.

Social Media Rumors and Public Reaction

Taking to his Instagram account, Sinha shared a video to directly respond to the growing speculation about his earnings from the film franchise. At the beginning of his message, he expressed gratitude for the appreciation he has been receiving following the success of the film, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead.

He then addressed the misleading posts that had been circulating online, which mentioned varying figures ranging from Rs 60 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Sinha made it clear that such claims were incorrect and urged people not to spread inaccurate information. His tone reflected both honesty and concern, as he attempted to set the record straight about his actual earnings.

    Unexpected Consequences of Viral Claims

The rumors about his supposed high income had unintended consequences. According to Sinha, many individuals began reaching out to him with requests for financial assistance, assuming he had earned a substantial amount from the project. He explained that although he did receive a decent payment aligned with his expectations, it was nowhere near the inflated sums being discussed.

He further revealed that the money he earned has already been spent, largely due to the high cost of living in Mumbai. His candid admission highlighted the financial realities faced by actors who may appear successful on screen but still navigate everyday expenses and uncertainties in their personal lives.

    Hope for Future Opportunities

Towards the end of his message, Sinha made a heartfelt appeal to his audience. He requested their support and blessings so that he could continue securing meaningful roles and opportunities in the industry. With consistent work, he expressed hope that he would be in a better position to earn more and extend help to those in need.

Box Office Success of the Franchise

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar, which was released on December 5, 2025, turned out to be a massive commercial success, reportedly earning over Rs 1300 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, hit theaters on March 19, 2026, and has already surpassed Rs 1600 crore globally.

In the film, Sinha played a terrorist character who says: "Pados me hi rehte hai, goode bhar ka zor lagalo."
