After a highly successful run in theatres, Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is now set for its digital debut. The latest chapter in one of Indian cinema’s most popular thriller franchises will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video this month, giving audiences another chance to watch the film after its impressive box office performance.

The movie, which released in cinemas on May 21, 2026, has emerged as one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the year. With collections crossing Rs 330 crore worldwide according to reports, the film has continued the success story of the Drishyam franchise that first began more than a decade ago.

When and where to watch Drishyam 3 online

Amazon Prime Video has officially announced that Drishyam 3 will premiere on its platform on June 18, 2026.

The film will be available in its original Malayalam version. Viewers will also have the option of watching dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, making it accessible to audiences across different regions.

The OTT release comes less than a month after the film’s theatrical release, a relatively quick turnaround for a movie that enjoyed a strong run at the box office.

Subscribers with an Amazon Prime membership will be able to stream the film once it becomes available on the platform.

A box office success for Mohanlal

Directed and written by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Drishyam 3 has delivered impressive commercial results since its release.

The film reportedly crossed Rs 330 crore worldwide within 30 days, marking another milestone for Malayalam cinema. The makers celebrated the achievement by sharing a special poster carrying the tagline “A Milestone Beyond Borders.”

Released on Mohanlal’s 66th birthday, the movie continued the story of Georgekutty, one of the most iconic characters in Indian thriller cinema. The character once again finds himself dealing with the consequences of past events while trying to protect his family.

    Mohanlal thanks audiences worldwide

As the film crossed the major box office milestone, Mohanlal shared a message of gratitude for fans who have supported the franchise over the years.

Taking to X, the actor wrote, “Carried Across Generations. What began as a story from Kerala found its way across languages, borders, and millions of hearts. Thirteen years and three chapters later, this journey continues to create history. Thank you for making it your own.”

The actor’s message reflected the journey of a franchise that started in Kerala and later inspired remakes and adaptations in multiple languages.

Familiar faces return to the franchise

Apart from Mohanlal, the film brings back several familiar cast members from the earlier instalments. Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil and Siddique reprise their roles, helping continue the story that audiences have followed since the first Drishyam released in 2013.

The combination of returning cast members and Jeethu Joseph’s storytelling has been a major factor behind the franchise’s enduring popularity.
