Blinkit on Wednesday launched its services inside Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The Quick Commerce platform's service will be available at Terminal 2 for domestic departures.

Through our partnership with Adani Airports, travellers can now order from a selection of 2500+ products like phone chargers, books, gifts and more on the Blinkit app, said Dhindsa. "Orders will be delivered within the terminal by our dedicated team of walkers."

This is the first airport in the world to have a service of this kind, as per Blinkit.

The company is undertaking a significant expansion of its dark store network, targeting 3,000 micro-warehouses by March 2027. As of December 31, it had 2,027 stores.

ET had reported earlier, citing BofA Research, that the company has over 50% market share in quick commerce leading rivals Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket's BB Now and Flipkart Minutes.

Eternal also saw a leadership change in February, when founder Deepinder Goyal stepped down as managing director and chief executive officer. He was succeeded by Blinkit founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa, who continues to lead the quick commerce business. In terms of net order value, Blinkit is now larger than Eternal’s cash generating food delivery business.
